Summary:
Provide, promote, and assist consumers with training and support to maximize their potential through gainful employment and meaningful activities.
Transportation driver is responsible for transporting people of all abilities to and from their homes to a varierty of community destinations in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
Assist consumers in the development of and participation in meaningful community activities, both vocational and recreational Facilitate and promote opportunities and environments for consumers' personal grown and relationship building Ensure implementation and documentation of the individual service plan as required and directed Serve as a role model for consumers and community members in terms of positive attitude and interactions, work performance, and personal care Represent self, consumers, program, and agency in a positive manner with community members, employers, volunteer site supervisors, Area Agency representatives, guardians, other team members, and any other members of the community Maintain a safe and healthy environment at all times, including assistance with personal care, in compliance with agency safety policies Learn, understand, and observe Client's Rights, behavior management guidelines, and the SCS Employee Manual Respect the confidentiality of all consumers and staff Attend training for professional growth and development as required or as assigned by supervisor Provide folks with transportation, as needed, (to & from home, job sites, & community activities) with own personal vehicle or agency vehicle as available.
Will inform supervisor of any maintenance issues, will complete any required reports for any incidents or injuries that occur during their driving route.
driver must assure the safety of all riding in the vehicles.
Seatbelts are required at all times when in a vehicle and abide by all applicable state motor cehicle laws.
Only hands-free cell phone devices may be used while in transit.
There is no smoking.
eating or drinking in (except water) in vehicles.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Two years paid employment or two years volunteer experience Working knowledge of the field of developmental disabilities services or the ability and desire to learn Valid driver's license, good driving record, auto liability insurance, clean driver, criminal, OIG, and BEAS checks Basic computer skills Ability to lift up to 35 lbs Job Type:
